i hear that you can get a low ATAR and still be offered a spot at csu. is this true? it would be great if it was because i am going shit in the exams

If you look at the UAC cutoffs for last year, you will see that pretty much all courses except Dental Sci, Vet, Medical Imaging and Physio have vacancies, so yes, there is a chance that if you dont get the usual 70 for the course, you will still be offered a position.
I know someone who got low 40s for their UAI and still got in to his course via main round

However, for things like teaching, if you dont meet the minimum prereqs, such as a band 4 in english and band 4 general maths (or finishing any other maths course), generally not.... admittedly, I also know someone who did :mad1:, but they had to write a rather persuasive letter...

And yay for 5 bonus points if you are rural!
