i googled some sites

be weary of if you want to call yourself a "psychologist" and if you want to be registered

http://www.psychreg.health.nsw.gov.au/ (this might be the site)
they might not let you register without a uni degree but i am not sure because i can't be bothered to search the site.

edit: found some info: http://www.acap.edu.au/PsychologistRegistration/
looks like you will need to do a 4 yera degree with them plus 2 years on top of it, a bit more than uni but sounds ok if you can still get registered.

registration - available in many areas, almost all i think, including accounting, nutrition etc. you have to fulfil certain requirements then you become part fo the 'club' - it shows people wanting to come to you that you are properly trained and fulfilled certain important requirements and that you aren't pretending you did courses.
