yeah... two teams from UTS :D

compared to like 1,000,000,000+ teams from USYD, who will all break into the finals if it were not for the 'maximum number of breaking teams from each uni cap'.

I was going to go, but didn't end up joining DebSoc (ran out of money on Oday). Thank goodness for that says I, after reading all the kerfuffle in UTS forum!

Australasian Intervarsity Debating Championships...I'll be there, as a debater as well as general helper-outer.

Should be a good week, great accomodation, social events look great (as do the bar tabs), and of course the standard of debating will be frighteningly high.

Slightly off topic - LoL at the woman's officer/woman's day etc

All teams that participate in any AIDA governed competition must meet the affirmative action ruling. AIDA has ruled that one third of the members of the teams sent by any institution must consist of at least one female debater.
