Authoring software? (1 Viewer)

Hey,

In the textbooks authoring software seems to be suggested as a 'one-stop-shop' for developing multimedia systems.

To me it seems like it could even include anything that helps with 'authoring', so it could be Word, iMovie etc. etc.

Is this correct?
