Hey i recently started year 12 and am interested in doing a finance or economics or commerce degree or something along those lines, all majoring in accounting.

I am currerntly trialling 4u maths.

I heard that some universities offer automatic entry into some of these courses to those who do 4 u maths. Is this true or strictly a rumour?

If it is true, which universities offer this?

any help would be greatly appreciated

p.s for some reason i have a gut feeling that this is not true!

Definitely not true. Its the first time I've heard of it - most absurd thing ever! Why bother doing the HSC then?

depends... if you do half decent in it ur marks will get scaled up pretty high hence ur UAI.

no there is no auto entry into uni if u do any other subject for that matter

yeah i reckon most of UNSW commerce has done 4unit anyways.. me wonders what the UAI cutoff would go UP to.

If you do well in 4u however (ie 90+), I think you can get special consideration for relevant courses at usyd if you're within a couple of UAI points.
