just wondering if AZ has any fans up here, i know most hip hoppers would appreciate him. 'do or die' is a classic and none of his albums have been bad, he is probably the best rapper never to gain mainstream success aside from big l of course. his verse on nas' 'lifes a bitch' is classic and he outshines nas on his own classic imo

AZ is good. I haven't head Aziatic yet though (yeah I know I'm behind). I saw it at JB today but passed over it (went for Screwball - Loyalty, De La Soul Is Dead and Gang Starr - Hard To Earn). I'd agree with AZ being one of the best rappers to not gain commercial success.

Yeh killer verse on life's a bitch

You say he 'outshines Nas on his own classic' I'm not sure what you mean.

Do you mean that AZ's verse is the best on illmatic or just that his verse is better on that song. Do you mean the latter, if so I agree with you but no way is it the best verse on illmatic and no way can one verse outshine the whole of Nasir's amazing performances on that album.

his voice is annoying

Rakim is in the process of recording things with the Heatmakerz
Nas is recording a track with Hi-Tek.

Good things to look forward too

Yo, sit back relax catchin contacts, sip your cog-nac
And let's all wash this money through this laundry mat
Sneak attack, a new cat sit back, worth top dollar
In fact, touch mines, and I'll react like a Rottweiler
Who pull the late, we play for high stakes at gunpoint
Catch em and break, undress em tie em with tape, no escape
The Corleone, fettucini Capone
Roam in your own zone or get kidnapped and clapped in your dome

We got it sewn, The Firm art of war is unknown
Lower your tone, face it, homicide cases get blown
Aristocrats, politickin daily with diplomats
See me I'm an official mack, Lex Coupe triple black
