Based on the experience of yourself or your peers, which degree is considered most favourably by both the students studying it and employers, and what is the real difference in content and future prospects.

I have a general interest in both Business and IT.

Most students interested in entering the business/finance industry do a bachelor of applied finance.
If you plan on being an accountant, bachelor of commerce with professional accounting is your best bet as it cover subjects for a future CA or CPA.
Ultimately, from an employers point of view the degree title doesn't matter to much, any business degree will be good, they look more at marks and work experience than specific degrees
