hey i am doing eco at UNSW.... and i am doing double major... cuz i do eco, i have to choose one major from the school of economics....

ie: i have to pick one from:

- economics
- econometrics
- economics/econometrics
- economic histtoyr (def dont want to do)
- financial economics

i want to do soemthing that is pratical.... dont lyk too much theory .....preferable i can use in the biz world.... which discipline do u think is most suitable?

yeah I agree..financial economics would probably be the most practical. Econometrics is also very useful too, employers look for econometrics students...but its really boring apparently

econometrics is a fusion of economics, statistics and mathematics....sounds kinda boring to me...but thats probably because im not a really maths orientated person.

yeah its much like actuarial studies
using mathematical models to predict or explain economic events, regression to forecast economic conditions etc...
