Hi guys,
I have a strong passion in science but am struggling to choose between doing health or medical science as the advanced studies part of a science degree at USYD. I think I should mention first that I HAVE NO INTEREST IN BECOMING A DOCTOR OR GETTING IN MED via any of these degrees.
I know that research is inevitable in a science degree, but I am a very social and communicable person that thrives on human/clinical/patient interaction, so I'm questioning which degree would have more flexibility in terms of having a future job like this as I do not just want to sit in a lab and write papers all day - or maybe I am just fearing the worst and stress is maing me think that research is the most solitary and worst thing ever lol. I considered doing pharmacy as well, but I honestly am not even too sure anymore.
I think health promotion/policy is really cool - but a part of me also loves doing science deep dives and understanding things conceptually.
Any advice?
