I am thinking of applying to transfer to UTS's straight law program and I have a few questions, any answers would be greately appreciated.
Does anyone do the straight B laws at UTS?
Is it really hectic?
How are lessons taught? (lectures, seminars, tutes) etc?
Has anyone transfered in? How difficult is it?

Why is there program called BLaws lol

Seems a break from tradition

Also becareful of doing straight law. Many law firms and law jobs specifically want 2 degrees, I think so grads have a non legal context to put their legal training thinking with

I don't do the degree, but I can tell you by looking at the UTS site that most law subjects are in lecture --> tute form, apart from legal research in which you do sessions in the computer lab then go for tutorials.

Also, in first year of the straight LLB you only do 3 subjects a semester as shown here.

You also might want to give UTS Law faculty a call and ask about how much credit you'd recieve for the transfer.

Yeah, I'd hope to get all my law stuff credited. I've done Intro to law and law foundations which are similar to their legal process etc and torts and criminal law :). I'd also hope that my social science subjects could be counted as general electives...I am going to ask at open day
