Egaaaaads!

I am looking to do a science degree at UNSW, majoring in pure mathematics. I applied for B Science and just realised that you can't even do it in B Science, you need B Science (Advanced Science).

Is this information correct?

If so, I guess I better find out how to change my UAC preferences...

Yes, it looks like you can only major in pure mathematics in Advanced Science, not normal BSc.

I'm going for Pure Maths in Adv Science, too.

But I dunno how you can fix that error.
rememer, in the first year, you can only do up to 3 or 4 maths out of 8 subjects.

I reckon you should go for USYD BSc (Adv Maths) if you are interested in pure maths. UNSW is stronger in applied stuff.

He expects to get into the BSc (Adv Maths) by invitation- a course for olympiaders and "those with very high marks in HSC Maths Extension 2" [doubt it would be a very high cutoff- all the real smarties have lives beyond mathematics], thus giving him the opportunity to craft together a cornucopia of mathematical delights.

The very thought of 132 credit points of mathematics scares me, to be honest.
