what are the mechanisms ... or something... that goes on between B and T cells?

You need to know that T cells help and activate B cells.

T cells can secrete interleukins which influences B cells to differentiate into plasma cells, and secrete antibiodies.

T cells can initiate cell-cell contact with B cells in the presence of an antigen, which signal the B cell to become activated (become plasma cells) and secrete antibodies.
