Band 6 - what raw marks? (1 Viewer)

What raw marks would be required for a band 6 for Maths?
I'm assuming 100+/120, but really hoping it's no more than that.

really? like 100 could get you a band 6? in a hard paper I'm assuming, but PLEASE GOD LET IT BE SO!!

depends on the year..usually 100-105 i guess

No.. it's usually 96+/120. However, it get's harder to go up band 6 as your raw mark increases from there.

I think that's exactly what she's saying

If they set the cut-off at 96 then they effectively have to align 24 marks from 90-100 (Although they pretty much only give one 100).

Thus getting another mark or two (raw) may not correspond to an increased aligned mark.
