*Rhombus:
-all sides equal
-opposite angles equal
-opposite sides parallel
-diagonals bisect each other at right angles
-area = 1/2(product of diagonals), written as A = (xy)/2

*Parallelogram:
-opposite sides equal
-opposite angles equal
-opposite sides parallel
-diagonals bisect each other (not at right angles)
-area = base*height

*Trapezium:
-2 sides parallel
-area = 1/2 height*(sum of parallel sides), written as A = h/2(a+b)

cant really think of many more at the moment

parallelogram (properties) :
opp sides equal
opp angles =
diagonals bisect each other
a diagonal divides a parallelogram into 2 congruent triangles

tests for a parallelogram:
both pairs of opp sides =
both pairs of opp angles =
both pairs of opp sides parallel
one pair of opp sides = and ||
diagonals bisect each otha

Rhombus (properties) :
all props of ||gram +
diagonals bisect @ right angles
diagonals bisect angles thru which they pass

Tests 4 a rhombus:
all sides equal
diagonals bisect eachotha @ right angles

Rectangle (properties):
all props of ||gram +
diagonals equal

Tests for rectangle:
diagonals r equal

Square (properties):
all of the above properties

Tests for a square:
The diagonals are equal and bisect each otha @ right angles

Diagonals equal in a quad does not make it a rectangle.
It has to be a parm + diagonals equal to be a rectangle doesn't it?

Also if diagonals bisect and are equal then any quadrilaterlal is a rectangle.
