So what topics have you guys and girls chosen? I'm up for self-efficacy, trust and intent to quit. I was thinking that the continuance would be easy, but to me they look particularly boring, and I didn't want to do one and not the other. Self efficacy and trust are my interests, and so intent to quit was done by default.

Anyone know what the expectations about references are? Whether we're expected to go outside the list they gave us? Typcially they do, but causes confounds (lol) in marking, becuase the people ho are doing, say, self eff. or intent to quit have more of an opportunity to gain more marks, but they're harder subjects on the basis that the lists aren't given... conversely, trus is a HUGE list....

I'm not particualrly hassled, but can't be bothered doing any more literature searches, 'tis all.. I did about 50 and misspelt "Inscentive" every time. ;) Very sick of ovid and ebscohost now. Can't they have a "did you mean incentive?" thing?? Grr!

hey skittled (steve)

i looked at the report thing,... i was initially going to do what your doing... trust, self efficacy and intent to leave...
but then i saw... the first reference for affective continuance... "affective, continuance and normative commitment to the organisation: a meta analysis of antecedents, correlates and consequences"

lol it sounds sooo i dunno very much like the report we're doing

so i think im going to do
trust (mainly because i don't know what the answer would be and it'de be interesting to say the least), self efficacy and affective commitment.

i might switch to normative commitment depending on which one is easier to do.

Sorry, Anne... Which report does the first reference sound like?

Lol Just been rereading mine. Hope it's not all like this:

Steve's essay said:
...While the concept of trust has proven difficult to precisely define (Dirks, XXXX), it is broadly understood to reflect the truster’s orientation toward the risk of entrusting the trustee when the truster is vulnerable to their potentially non-benevolent intentions....

Starting mine now... wanted to start earlier, but couldn't due to commitments. WebCT is being melodramatic and not loading up for me... *picks up textbook and releases stress*

How charming! The pdf files aren't even loading on my computer. Would anyone want to play the role of angel and email the assessment sheets to me?

Ouch!

I hope this assessment's not too hard... for both our sakes

EDIT: Have discovered access to BBA111 files and plans on doing Intent to Leave, affective commitment and maybe self-efficiency... haven't decided totally on the last one yet.

ADDING ON: Err, not being able to decipher the group statistics (of the survey thing we did) could be problematic.
