I was discussing with people how you must decide on a major next year and do a full year in ur major. then in yr 3 u can pick a major or 2 subs and then do that.

however some one said u need to pick 4 the next 2 yrs at the end of this semester and then they mix up ur subjects over the 2 yrs . say for example i do MARKETING, HRM and INT BUS. would i have some MARK, some IB and some HRM classes for the next 2 years mixed up or just MARKETHIN 1 yr then HRM and IB one semester each.

You will need to enrol for your 2006 subjects (both Autumn and Spring) towards the end of this semester (usually around October-November). Obviously, you can change them next year (at the start of each semester), but if you want to to guarantee places then it's best to plan it out now.

Well, with the new online enrolment system now, choosing your own order of subjects is quite flexible. You don't have to mix them up, however, most people do, because sometimes its hard to do 4 subjects from one major or sub-major in the same semester, because of prerequisites and stuff. Also, sometimes its a bit boring doing 4 subjects in the same area in the same semester as well. Even if a subject isn't a prerequisite, sometimes knowledge from other subjects comes in handy.

So, basically, check the prerequisites of all the subjects that you want to do, and if you can do all your marketing in 2nd year and then HRM and IB in one semester each, then that's fine, otherwise, if you do all your marketing next year, and then you find that HRM or IB is impossible for you to do in one year (maybe because one subject requires another with requires another), then you won't be able to finish in 3 years! So, plan ahead now.

Jasee, would you recommend doing all subjects in same semester or mixing them up?

That's up to you. If it's possible, then both options are open to you.
