Im just saying, if u go to a christian school & u have to do SRE II but can drop one unit in yr 12....WAIT!!!! if u want a UAI...make sure you dont have two subjects in a B categorys!!!! I did that & the UAC people had to drop one of my B subjects that had a lower score (75)..so they had to count my SRE I..which was 39/50
And i got a UAI of 51.45.....so future HSC students check with your SRE teacher!
ummm.....
whilst I personally think its an issue that SOR II (btw its not called SRE II!!!) is compulsory in some schools for Yr 11, what you have described is a pitfall of the system and has nothing to do with Studies of Religion as such.
Unless you are saying that you would have scored better than 78% in SOR II, of course they are going to drop your lowest unit/s as that how it works ie your BEST 10 units
NB...not flaming you or your UAI, I'm just defending the subject......I just take exception to how students attack the subject as its compulsory in some schools ie the way you worded what you wrote (even the thread title) implies that SOR is the reason/partially the reason why you got a UAI of 51.45 and not that you may have made some bad choices re subjects and units *or* that you didnt do as well as you thought you would overall (my assumption is based upon your stated UAI of 51.45 which you would have to admit is a little low as you are posting a warning entitled "Be careful what you wish for.... )
Maybe you should examine how you went vs blaming subjects for your UAI maybe?
I dont know...just a thought
BTW...just to explain my mood. I have just spent the last two hours working on the BoS Wiki in order to help SOR students and then I read this.......
apologies if this offends
