i am going to post some of my speaking summaries in the resources section of bos in the new year, its actually one of my resolutions! most of the phrases you will need are just expressing what you want or need, asking for opinions, saying personal details etc. but it certainly doesnt hurt to practise conversations with native speakers (backpackers, exchange students). i think the board of studies have heaps of past papers, they go back a long way, like 15 years. if you can also get hold of the open high school papers they are good to. if you keep doing these, starting from now, the hsc will be a piece of cake. remeber that the beginners course focusses on tourist situations so keep a list of questions (and answers) relating to transport, money, eating out, shopping, making friends, greetings, sport and leisure.
it is also good to include idiomatic expressions, and if you look on some of the continuers threads they have some good ones.
hope this is ok for the meantime, pm me if i am too lazy and need to be nagged to post my summaries!!!
