Almost finished writing a paper and I'm still a bit confused about the order of references.

(i) Table of Cases
(ii) Table of Statutes/Legislation
(ii) Bibliography

is it that, or something else!? thanks in advance.

Bibliographies:

1. Articles/Books/Reports
2. Cases
3. Legislation
4. Treaties
5. Other sources

See the MULR Australian Guide to Legal Citation here.

thanks! so the fact that things may be footnoted is irrelevant, and a full reference list at the end is necessary for books/articles/reports cases and legislation?

It depends. Some assignments I get say that a bibliography is not required, whereas as a general rule foot/endnotes are always required. Check the exact specifications of the assignment. If in doubt, ask the lecturer.
