Bidding at an auction without registration (1 Viewer)

Hi i know this isn’t the best place to post this (all the other websites i’ve asked on are not answering) according to laws and related stuff is it alright to go to an auction and bid for a house without registering beforehand?

it’s not for me - my friend has a pip related to housing/auction (something about the increase of the prices and how it has affected society or something like that i’m not sure)

i mean if ur filthy rich they probs won't care y'know, all the auction people want is the money so much so they may start separating the morals from the moolah (that's how mafia works) so in that case you're all good

in all seriousness, I don't think in general you can waltz right in there without any registration (it exists for legal reasons i think), possibly you may be able to do it by registering quickly with the agent with an address and proof of identity.

damn what if u register at the inspection before the auction
im not sure but i think they have inspections on the day of the auction

i just tagged along in an auction last week! at the inspection they told us abt the auction date and details, the registration link was only sent 48 hrs before the auction and u had to give the name/s, numbers of the ppl attending + contract solicitor if u end up winning the bid. u couldn't get the registration link if u didn't come to the inspection, and u couldn't enter the auction if u didn't get the registration link

(but this wasn't nsw tho so im not sure if the info varies from state to state)
