so for this question, im guessing the answer is C? even then, does crossing over even happen between the X and Y chromosomes in meiosis? since both arent even homologous and Y chromosome contains fewer genes?

The X and Y chromosomes have homologous sequences called pseudoautosomal regions(PAR1, PAR2 and PAR3) and crossing over is restricted to these regions.
My main point, though, is that questions can be challenging, but shouldn't be ambiguous, to avoid penalizing students for gaining knowledge. Option C isn't truly correct.
