Hey all!

I've got to do an essay on Bladerunner about the main issues and themes- but what the hell are they??? We haven't done them in class and I have no idea what to write!

could someone please help me ASAP! It's due soon! Only a simple class essay but still!

From what I can retain from when I studied it, it's a comparative study between Bladerunner and Brave New World and the theme of "In The Wild". But, you should really define what "in the wild" consists of and go from there. You should really ask your teacher for pointers as I can't explain anything specific seeing as I don't know what your essay question is asking for.

romanticism, the enlightenment project

well it really depends on what your teacher has decided to throw at you (non literally)... ours for example has taken the philosophical lane, taking about the industrial revolution and romanticism etc...

from what i know, the main themes are questions like "what is a human and what is a person (i.e. identity), what is our natural state, are humans part of or exampt from nature (or both) etc...

i'm at schoo now and i've gotta run to class... email me if you need more ideas

*nature (or lack of) + its destruction + marginalisation
*identity (or lack of) + knowing who we really are -ie. deckard doesn't know if he's a replicant or not
*good vs. evil
*social structure
*globalisation/capitalisation
