body of work feedback plz (1 Viewer)

i m pretty new 2 the bored of studies site so hey evrybody! im maggie.
um, i just wantd 2 get sum criticism on my body of work concept.
i m doing a 'is she naked or is she nude' thing where i m researching pornography through the ages n also the 'nude' im asking what the distinction is between nudity and nakedness, and what it is that defines this. i hav changed my way of representing this so much my teacher is incredibly frustrated with me, but rite now i m toying with 1 of 3 ideas.
1- a huge picture, maybe in charcoal or oils or something really classic n artistic, of a woman in a pornographic position (lol sounds seedy) and it represent sort of... umm... becoz it is an artwqork, doz that make it not porn kind of thing.
2- looks can b decieving, 3 works of naked women, 1 as a 50's pin up girl with a very 'innocent' face, 1 as a very innocent nude but with a tatoo n a mynx type smile or sexy face (seedy agn lol) n 1 of sumfing else i havnt decided... mayb evn a pornstar with clothes ON...
3-taking a series of classics works such as the birth of venus by boticelli n superimposing pornography over the top of them 2 show the hidden inuendo n subtle eroticism of these wroks...

any ideas or feedback guys?

i didnt do art in yr 12, but i did in yr 10, so u can ignore this idea if u want.

But what if u had a pic like this horrible paint sketch below:

Make her back look all classy, like a classic nude. u can have her hair however u want, she could be holding it up or something [think the nude drawing scene in 'as good as it gets' (sorry, thats the best example i could think of! )] Choose ur own pose.
Make the wall/wallpaper all classic and classy. then in the mirror present her as a pornstar with cameras and a director in the background of the reflection suggesting this nude scene is actually just a shooting for a porn film. U could do it all in using black and white to give it that 'classic' look and thus avoiding emphasising the cameras too much through the use of a contrasting colour (i mean, if u want to show the blurred line between nude and naked, otherwise emphasise the difference using colour)

Dunno, just a suggestion

EDIT: you can change the size of the mirror to what ever u want. change how u frame the work. Make the frame on the mirror realy classic and ornate. It's up to u. But i just wanted u to be able to see what i was sort of seeing.

hahahahahaa when u finish show us the photos - but in all seriousness its a great idea... although i dont know... nudity in a sexual/pornographic manner might be stretching the limits of the markers - but then again it can be championed under the name of art - but thats not what u were asking was it... what were u asking... lemme read again .... oh u want feedback - well all i gotta say is how r u gonna "research" this... haha

This is a really risky concept. A girl at my school did this a couple of years ago, my teacher loved it but the HSC markers are prudent little bitches and she received a shit mark. I think it gets done quite a lot these days, too. I wouldn't head down this path. Have you considered doing something more along the lines of Lucien Freud? The markers love him, as do I...
But hey, if you're really passionate about the idea, like taking risks, and you don't really care about marks, then go ahead. Just have fun.

Boticelli's venus has been appropriated alot i'll say that much.
If you can find an even better artwork in a similar style that'd be sweet.
Its a good idea but i'd kind of check around to see if anyone else has done it.

I think you've got a good concept - but totally innovate it. Go insane. Like it may have been done before, but if you can fully develop it into something insane, that'd be cool. A girl in my class is doing Adam and Eve (I think, she changes every week..)

I've asked myself millions of times and had huge discussions about Nudity and Nakedness. I've done one self nude portrait too, to prove a point to a male friend. AHAHAHA. If you want points and what not feel free to PM me.

Just a note: A few years ago someone was reported to DOCS because their photography artwork featured real sexual displays in it. True story, my art teacher who's been teaching for too long mentioned it casually to us and we're all like
