ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
This one day session is for anyone in Years 11 or 12 who wants to greatly improve their band performance. Students will learn how to:
- Decipher HSC questions - what do they "really" want? Crack the code for what is required for Band 6 responses
- Effectively answer high order questions such as "Critically Analyse" and "Compare and Contrast"
- Develop a range of strategies through available resources to improve performance for assessment tasks and exams
- Assess their current performance and then work on the skills needed to lift their performance
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTORS
Lesley Craig
Lesley has been a NSW Board of Studies Chief Examiner for the HSC and a Senior Marker and Judge Marker. She was also Deputy Chair on the syllabus review committee at the Board of Studies.
John Craig
Former Principal, member of the NSW Principal's Council Strategic Futures Group, Executive Team Leader NSW Quality Assurance DET and Director of Human Resources, Newington College.

MOTIVATIONAL KEYNOTE SPEAKER
The workshop will include a presentation by Chris Bray, an Australian adventurer and motivational speaker. Chris' talk will include areas such as goal setting, perseverance, self motivation and confidence.
