is doing a recheck worth the money + having said that, will it usually raise the marks?

They don't remark.

However, it might satisfy your curiousity to recheck, and if it's not too costly to do, go ahead.

Exams were double marked.

I don't think the markers can really stuff up on the third occasion (even if they're just checking the mark totals).

It's money down the drain, in my opinion. The chances, and this is my opinion, of gaining more marks is virtually zero. I don't believe HSC markers will have any room for error, in adding up. :)

Depends, if it's Mathematics, it's marked like once.

If it's like English, it should be marked twice.

So chances of remark are very low, if not non-existent.

I didn't say scam - but who knows, you can't really be guaranteed that they'll even look at your papers.

I thought they destroyed exam papers? (maybe after).

In my opinion, I would trust that they did it properly the first and second time. I don't feel that I need to pay someone, to get it right the third time (which may just as well result in no change to my marks and subsequent UAI).

Its easy for a number to be left out, but the chances of it having happened are probably very slim. Im having one of my subjects checked because I topped it and topped it easily, but according to my marks someone beat me in the exam by 9 marks, and that just doesn't seem right....

maths is marked once? even that should be double marked, our teachers make so many mistakes at school.

they mark like 1 in 5 or 10 maths papers just to see if the particular marker is being consistent, so if ur lucky enough to be that paper, then it should be pretty rite. otherwise, there's always a chance. but would one or two marks make that much of a difference to ur uai, cos ur exam mark is only 50% ?
