i think its in the wrong section of standard english but yeh, i need help on metaphorical images for "weapons training" - bruce dawe.
i was thinking of like a fist or something that metaphorically represents control of the persona? or the nazi symbol same deal. need suggestions, thanks.

Metaphor of mechanical parts where he says 'I want to hear those eyeballs click'.

Metaphor for sexual damage 'your chances of turning your key in the ignition considerably reduced'.

The tone of this poem is aggressive. The drill seargents voice is loud and a biting monologue. The language used is colloquial and at times vulgar 'grab and check the magazine man it's not a woman's tit'. But his underlying message to his troops is one of care as he wants to spare these men's lives on the battlefield.

The Nazi metaphor doesn't exist in this poem. Good try though.
