I thought the whole album of Born in the USA was annoying, but Ive heard some of his other stuff here and there and Ive liked it. I saw one of his CD packages reduced from $50 the other day in HMV Chatswood to $7 and was tempted to buy it even though I knew nothing about it.

I'm not a big fan of Born in the USA (the song). His voice is too jagged and husky...

I really like American Skin (41 Shots), that's a good song.

Bruce Springsteen is a deadset god to me. Better than Elton John, Bobby Dylan, John Mellencamp and Bob Segar. Raw blues and hard rock. The River is the saddest song I have ever heard. So many awesome upbeat songs as well like Glory Days and Dancing in The Dark.

The ultimate oldies singer songwriter.

Well in that case, does anyone like Rod Stewart or am I alone?

Love Rod as well. You know he got his start in the Jeff Beck group. That guy is like a magnet for greatness.

I don't really approve of that great american songbook collection stuff.
His first 3-4 years as a solo artist though are just awesome.
