wat does adding someone to my buddy list do?
because it doesnt seems to do anything.

It puts a + next to their name in the Currently Active Users list. Also if you click on Quick Links at the top of the page and choose Buddy List, it brings up a small window with your buddy list and shows if your buddies are online or not. It refreshes itself every few minutes.

Nope. It doesn't matter if they add you or not. Some people don't use the buddy list at all, so that would defeat the purpose.

As far as I can determine, it's just a quick way to PM or access the profile or online/offline status of people of your choice.
