Definitely deserves it.

His fight on Alpe d'Huez was amazing after the mechanical he suffered, then he completely blew Andy Schleck away last night. Greatest Australian sporting achievement IMO.

YES! its awesome news for the poor guy who always missed it by *that* much.

I hope Schleck eventually wins one, three runner ups in a row is pretty hard but yeah, delighted. The tdf leaves for dead most sports in terms of the type of physical exertion it requires, Cadel has to be our greatest sportsman at the time and what more for the first time since Thorpey our top dog isn't an obnoxious, self important, scandal written so and so.
