I was wondering wat type of calutor is needed to do commerce or economics subjects at uni eg. scientific or financial/graphing.

A financial calculator comes in handy, especially in finance.

if u are doing stats then i reccomend a graphics calculator but u better check they are allowed at your uni...

Many faculties allow graphics calculators but not programmable calculators (it is difficult to find devices that do not overlap). This is especially true in Science and Engineering, but I am told equally relevant in Commerce and Business faculties.

For exams, they'll usually provide calculators, and for Commerce/Eco, it's the same type of calculator you used for 2U Maths

Does UNSW provide calculators? We're told to bring our own. Of course, I'd much rather that than having to learn all the functions on someone else's calculator during an exam.

Depends on the subject.
