i swear to god, enrolling at UTS last yr was much simpler than all this!!

i have to enrol tomorrow, im doing B Commerce (lib studies) and im confused about a few things.

1) i know we have to take a photo for our student card, do we also have to have one for our cityrail concession thing? is it seperate or do we just use our student card as concession? i know thats what we did at uts

2) were supposed to be choosing our subjects at enrolment, do we have to choose for both sem 1 & sem 2 or just sem 1? also willthey answer any questions and help choosing subjects, or are you expected to turn up knowing exactly what youre doing?

3) i have to do 12 credit points of science units in my degree, im hopeless at science, anyone know if psychology subjects count as science? this probably sounds really stupid but i just want to double check

4) how long will enrolment take over all?

im sure ive got stacks more q's so i'll just post them as they come into my head :)

1. Yep, the student card carries the state transit concession sticker. They do mention that some private providers require a verified passport photo for their own concessions, but that isn't something that must be dealt with right now.

2. Both semesters one and two, although you can vary your enrolment at a later date. From my experience with the Science faculty, subject advisors were at hand to answer any general questions and a number of handbooks or unit of study sheets were also available. I don't think that they expect you all to know what you want beforehand, but it would help if you had some idea.

3. Psychology is a science at USyd.

4. It varies. I was there for 3 hours (Science, selecting subjects and running between two buildings for info), yet I know of others who were there for 20 or so minutes (Engineering, no first year electives). As for Eco and Business degrees... Know your subjects and the process shouldn't be too long.
