depends on schoolI'd like to know since I'm going to be doing 10 units in year 12. By dropping to 11 I would have more time to focus on 9/10 of them in year 11.
really? i'd have thought there'd be a NESA policy about that sort of thingdepends on school
I meant to say that i did the prelim course and now im doing the hsc course of that subject in year 11, does the same apply?depends on school
Yes i can't see any reason your school would be able to force you to do more units. nesa only requires you do 12 units worth of year 11 units and 10 units worth of year 12 units, it doesn't matter when you do them. i did 10 units in yr 11 (+4 units yr 12 maths), and im on 6 units rnI'd like to know since I'm going to be doing 10 units in year 12. yeah thanks, I already got to try the subject for a year and I didn't really like it.your school usually cannot force you to do x amount of units so you should be able too drop to whatever amount you like
however some schools are annoying and make you do subjects (usually these are religious private schools forcing ppl do do religion) and some schools force everyone to do 12 units (including any accel courses) in year 11 (this is a good thing imo, it gives you room to try a subject without stakes and teaches you time management with excess work that you will need even if you decide to drop to 10 units bc y12 involves a lot of work)
also some schools try to make it extremely hard to drop subjects
ultimately i would find out what your school's policies are and if they dont align with what you want, get your parents involved and fight for yourself because you can't afford to mess around especially in year 12.
yes, i did 11 total and 9 in year 12I'd like to know since I'm going to be doing 10 units in year 12. By dropping to 11 I would have more time to focus on 9/10 of them in year 11.
