Is my English that bad?
I mean the highest English mark was about 80% (raw mark) at my school

Sorry, it's not "really" bad or anything. I just think that you could have been 95-97+ if you had a decent English mark.

How do they scale English with the highest mark at my school being 80% (raw mark)?

Is that like considered a 90s mark after moderation?

80% is the raw mark i'm talking about

What i thought was that since 80% was first, it the scorer will receive the highest modified individual mark for their school with the mark scaled according to their school's performance
Correct me if i'm wrong
So that 80% mark will be band 6 for a school ranked 40-45 such as my school

as for natstar's comment, isn't 80% a pretty good mark for an English exam? i mean are you suppose to get 100% for an essay when it always could be criticised for faults

thank you!
I almost felt my school was hopeless hearing all these 'high marks' for english

BTW what is how would an average in a school like mine rank
band 4 or 5? high part of low part of the band?
