I guess it can be used, e.g. the hostile tone Penelope Allen use when she questions “Why make the incompetent? Why make them weak?”

It’s not the strongest technique, so you should probably pair it up with another one to solidify your response

^yeah just call it tone, or a shift in tone or smth, "intonation" is unnecessarily fancy
emotive language could work as well
