Fucked up Internet explorer - Can ne 1 help?

I just had like a huge killer virus which restored my computer to when i first got it, with no word documents, piks, mp3's and all that.

I just fixed it (took like soooo FUKIN LONG) and i got all my word documents back, and had 2 reinstall Office xp (coz it fuked up my microsoft word)

But i think it may have fuked up my internet explorer. Iv'e installed IE explorer 6, but weneva i clik it it says "Internet explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close", so i cant browse the net. Also, i can't get on the net through Real Player 10. I have to go to my documents - view - goto - homepage to go on the net. Now wen im browsing, the same "encountered a problem" message comes up whenever i click a link away from a page.

Can ne 1 help me out as to what i should do? Delete explorer or what??? Thanx

Yep. You'll find most regulars of the IT forum prefer anything (particularly Firefox) over Internet Explorer.

Yes Its much less susceptible to hijacks and nasties like Internet Explorer, yet with nice features like tabbed browsing. Its feels somewhat faster, lighter and more responsive than the Mozilla browser. I haven't touched Netscape for many versions now. Opera I used for a short while but did not get used to it.

umm.. its just fast loading and theres tabs and shit. heeps easy to use, kills IE
