Hi there,
I am having difficulties with the theory behind Phanks proposed model, that something happens during Blackbody radiation. I am also having trouble with the Quantum theory. Are 'lumps', 'packets of energy', 'discrete molecules', 'photon', and 'quantum' the same thing? What is a 'photon of light'?

Yes, there the same.

"photon of light" is also the same thing (a dicrete lump of quantum energy)

Not only that light is emitted as photon particles but that those particles have a minimum energy and frequency defined by :

E=hf
