Cert 4 or Diploma to uni

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

im just wondering I got a uai of 62 last yr and this year doing Crt 4 Network management i was wondering does any uni look at Cert IV results to gain entrance into uni I just wanna get in in either uws maq or acu ????

Im also doin a couple of subs I done crapin last year so when I fill out the uac application at the end of the year do I put NRSL or RSL ????????
or can i use both of my CIV results and UAI?????

Ne chance if I dont get into my course I wanted due to my uai lower then the cutoff would this CIV boost me ??????

hell yes... any certification gives you a really large boost - cause all they want to see is that youve completed some studies in the course you want to enter. The UAI is like a ... number that tells the uni how committed you are to your studies... so a 62 uai (which... isnt thatttt bad :p) + additional certification (particlarly in the IT field) will give you a good boost in your next application.

Additionally, whack your fav course's at the top of your application, but also pop in some lower ones like help support (or w/e uws offeres) - cause you can transfer courses internally if you perform moderatly well. . .

*thumbs up*

Edit* Ive found that a lot of people in uws are just coming off tafe courses. whether it be IT or real estate (which seems to be popular at the moment) .

I dunno how its done or anything, but UWS has a very strong connection with TAFE. You'd be best to talk to TAFE and the uni and you might even get some academic credit which means you won't have to do some particular subjects cause you have done something similar already.

many form management too, coem form tafe.
note that ad. dips and normal dips can give oyu a max of 1 year block credit, even though adv. dip takes longer etc.
UWs will look at your CIV results IF and ONLY IF it is the highest rank out of all your other ranks i.e. UAI. so if oyur CIV mark is higher than your uai, they will look at your CIV only. UWS doesnt do nrsl. though this rule ay change, it hasnt been done yet.
CIV results trasnferred to equivalent uai marks, get it from the scu website, or alternatiely go to the uni general-->trasnfers and click on one of the ones that are stickied and it will provide a link.

EDIT: schedule provided by scu and Frigid http://www.boredofstudies.org/community/attachment.php?attachmentid=6232
