I recieved this email about forum from uws about LSU

Dear Student

The University recently undertook a review of services offered by all
administrative and academic support units in the University divisions.

As a result, recommendations have been made to offer some student
services in a different model to the way we currently offer them.
This involves some services currently offered by the Student Support
Services Unit.

I have been appointed as Project Manager to progress the recommended
changes.

The Vice Chancellor has received some emails from students who are
concerned about what the changes are about. I therefore think it would
be a good idea to hold an open student forum where you can come along
and ask me whatever questions you wish about the current divisional
review.

Details of the forum are:

Thursday 11 May 2006
1-2 pm
Lecture Room 5 (VG05)
Building V
Penrith campus

If you would prefer that a forum was held on other campuses as well
as Penrith please let me know by return email and I will arrange for
this to also happen.

Yes I think everybody got that. I don't think its anything important, they just have to notify everyone in case someone wants to say something.

It is pretty important that people know about it... since it is a "forum" so if people odn' tknow details, no one turn up and there won't be a forum


From the way it's worded - this is the only avenue the VC is giving to complain.. as usual, she makes it as hard as possible for people to disgaree with her... so if you're pissed off about it you should go.

They're arranging one for Parra as well and if interest is raise for otehr campuses, they'll run them there too.

What i mean is that its the same as when companies send out letters to share holders notifying them of the anual general meeting. They dont actually expect the customers to turn up, but they have a burden or responsibility to notify people just in case someone is interested.

PS: I just noticed your username.. Is that that woman in that wayyy old movie (from the 90's!) who kicked butt?

Lol yeah i know i get what you meant but just mor making the point that it's actually an important event not just some lame uni promotion stuff so if people are worried they should go

lol if you mean my name? - um no ... Lara B is my name as in Lara Beach - are you thinking about Lara Croft? coz that's the only movie person i can think of apart from Lara in Dr Zhivago which is where my name sorta comes from
