our teacher has decided that we're to study shipwrecks corrosion and conservations as our elective. I was wondering what is this like. is it anything like the studying of ethanol? as this is monotonous and ridiculaus

It's a lot better than ethanol. Don't worry. At least in this elective it's about facts not about what might happen in the future, and there is some chemistry in it even!

I get to do industrail chemistry which sounds really good and there are heaps of pracs that go with it. With shipwrecks, a friend told me that all they got to do was try to preserve leather pants, nothing to do with ships or the conservation
