1. The magnetite can be taken out due to its property of magnetism.
2. Decant the kerosene due to its liquid formation thus leaving the small solids of sodium chloride and sand.
3. Filtration by dissolving the sodium chloride in with the water due to sodium chlorides ionic bonding and water being a polar solvent and when filtered the sand will be left behind because it is not able to fit through the filter paper.
4. Evaporating the water because the water particles can be heated enough to be a gas whereas sodium chloride cannot be turned into gas.
