Sorry for a lot of questions but this is part of my assignment. My class teacher is just racing through the metals topic.
Help required plzzzz.

1. The molar ratio between reactants/products in a reaction eg. 1 : 1 -> 2 : 1

2. When planning an investigation make sure you address the aim - and nothing but the aim. Make sure your method has clarity, can easily be repeated and does not waste materials - be succinct.

3. In conclusions just answer the aim/state whether it proved your hypothesis if you had one and justify it - state how you got to that conclusion from your results.

4. When writing a discussion, accuracy is usually the easiest to address - so do this first. Talk about the type of equipment you are using and its degree of accuracy and error eg. a measuring cylinder (100mL) with ±0.5mL error. If there are any calculations involved state the significant figures and justify them here, as this is derived from the accuracy of your measurements (your least accurate measurement). With reliability state the number of trials you did or something along those lines. With validity, state whether it addresses the aim (it should, you would hope lol) and that there was only one independent variable and all other variables were controlled. State a control if you used one. Then address any problems or limitations you had during your experiment. To finish off, discuss your results in your experiment and their implications + a mini conclusion.

5. Predicting yield is simply calculating how much you would get from a certain reaction; that would be the given metal with water, oxygen and dilute acid. First write out your equation and determine the "stoichiometric relationship" then find whatever you're asked depending on the information you have.

6. This is basically (1), molar ratios eg. 1 : 1 -> 2 : 1 So it's basically the relationship between your products and reactants in terms of how much there is in the reaction.

Save the latter two for the HSC course

And they usually refer to the oxides of the elements anyway, not the elements themselves
