hey Ive got a question about what is the minimum thing you have to write as statements for your proof. does anyone know the shortest statements that will show the markers you know your proofs?
eg instead of saying - "Angle between tangent and chord at contact point is equal to angle in alternet segment" I heard you could just say "alternate segment theorem"
Is this correct? if so what are the short names for the other proofs.

Ive also got a really easy probability question that im not sure of -
how many arrangements of the word ALGEBRAIC are there if the 2nd, 3rd, 5th and 8th letters are vowels?

Thanks for the help

1) I write (alt. seg. theorem), I'm a rebel.

2) I second Archman's 1440.

don't call the q really easy if you don't know how to do it and still have no clue after the answer has been given :p

I write all reasons out completely.

ALGEBRAIC

A,A,E,I,L,G,B,R,C

The fact that there are specific positions for the vowels means nothing. It just means that there are 4 places for vowels to be.

there are 4*3*2*1 ways the vowels can be set out, and 5*4*3*2*1 ways the remaining letters can be put out. There are also 2 A's, so

arrangements = 4*3*2*1*5*4*3*2*1/2 = 1440

I write the whole thing, curtosy of my teacher saying "leave no chances in the HSC" I've also been told u dont even have to get the right number so long as ur reasoning is right in those find x questions.
