Citizen kane appears to be the most obscure text, does anyone out there actually do it? I undertstand how to define textual integrity in relation to all the other prescribed texts but with the one I'm doing it doesn't really make all that much sense... does the fact that it's mentioned in the Simpsons make it have textual integrity, or in that movie over the hedge.... there have been many interpretations but no new productions. Or should i just quote the syllabus and do my own random interpretation i mean its worked until now... but i don't want to take any chances. Any help would be lovely!!

I think textural integrity is about reoccuring themes and techniques throughout the movie. For example the use of mise-en scene and deep focus throughout the film and the reoccuring antifascist message throughout
