Well I just finished my exams so I am going to have a fair bit of time to relax and I am interested in watching some of the classic movies of the past few decades (probably no older than about 1960) because I have never really seen any of them. I am thinking movies like Breakfast at Tiffany's and The Breakfast Club, but I am not sure. What are some that you recommend:)?

I borrowed 'The Wild Ones' from Whitlam Library with Marlon Brando in it. I'm getting the Cary Grant one next time.

and also just as excellent, 'la dolce vita'

also martin scorsese is worth everyone's time, especially taxi driver and goodfellas (raging bull is quite good too).

and yeah
like it's a cliché pretentious thing to say but citizen kane is great. really! you'd be surprised how damned cool it is.

Great idea am thinking of doing the same.

Except I'll warn you maybe against Breakfast at Tiffany's (watched it the other night in the same vain - and I love old school musicals - but this was pretty pathetic) I don't know if you're a girl you may like it, but whatever, My Fair Lady is so much better.
