Doing an assessment and got a problem

First of all is there any other chemicals that form different products under differnet conditions other than combustion and if not
can you tell me what the relative ratio of oxygen to fuel is...? and how can i find out the relative amount of energy released...

me noob at chem so any help will be appreciated...

thank you in advanced

The main examples given in the chem syllabus are ethene and oxygen. But if u think about it the haber process is not a combustion reaction.
C2H4 + 0.5 O2----->>> ethylene oxide
[i think this has a Ag catalyst at 250degrees c]

C2H4 + 0.5O2----->>> acetalehyde
[this has a palladium catalyst at 150 degrees]

This is just for comparing the combustion reaction of ethene
C2H4 + 3O2----->>>> 2CO2 + 2H2O
This also shows that monitoring conditions of a reaction can produce different products. I hope this helps you or gives u a big idea of your question.
