this is more-so directed towards past students that have already completed the hsc
is it genuinely possible to comeback?
Like say for e.g. im sitting at a low band 6 in terms of rank etc, am i able to push this up to a 95? even though my rank would make it hard for me to?

yeah so when i did accel 2u my rank was barely at a b6 level, im talking it was in the 40s-50s ish and school usually gets like 40-50 b6s so if i were to b6 it would be low b6. my internal mark did end up being a low b6 but my external mark was so good that it got me up to a mid b6.

on a side note, there was someone in my class who had a decently higher internal rank than me that got the same internal mark as me. im assuming this is the case in those subjects where the ranks are really really close together and seperated by decimal places, esp true for those subjects with high averages where everyone does pre good internally.

so external comebacks from low to mid b6 are def possible but im not sure about like high b6 like 96+ bc that would indicate that you need to basically get a 100 externally or smth

yes happened to me in 4u, just lock in and if things go your way then its defo possible. sounds like your cohorts in a great position anyway if youre rank 7 with a raw e4 mark

ok so if youre rank 7 with 93% chances, you and rank 1 have less than a 7% gap. so what im saying is just bc youre rank whatever doesnt mean youre limited by your rank bc you are just numerically not that far off rank 1 and that will be taken into account when they do moderation. they dont just give you someone elses raw mark they look at the std deviation in the cohort and scale it so it makes sense.

overall yeah if you and your cohort do well in externals you could acc get an e4 regardless of your rank now. imo knowing your cohort i reckon yeah maybe youll get more e4s than usual as well so dont worry abt whats done worry abt what you can do from now onwards
