Compilation of Chemistry Formulae (Need Pluvia or Riviet to double check)
Just a minute ago, I decided to recall as many Chemistry formulae I could remember and decided to post it up.
Can everyone check to see if I've made any mistakes or missed any important formulae.
Here's the list:
1. n = m/MM
2. c = n/v
3. c1v1 = c2v2
4. n = v/MV (For gases)
5. ΔH = -mCΔT [thanks to airie for reminding me about the minus sign]
Where,
n = Number of moles (mol)
m = mass of substance (g)
MM = Molar Mass (g)
c = concentration (mol L-1)
v = volume (L)
MV = Molar Volume i.e 22.7L @ 0 degrees celcius (STP) & 24L @ 25 degrees celcius (RTP)
ΔH = Change in Enthalpy or Heat energy (J)
C = Specific Heat Capacity of substance e.g. 4.18 for Water
ΔT = Change in Temperature (degrees celcius or Kelvin is indifferentiable, right?)
So everyone, please check if I've made any mistakes and add any formulae that I've missed.
Hope this was helpful.
