Hi Im doing music 2

heres my pieces below

Mandatory: Latin Prelude II - Christopher Norton

Elective1: Study in Blue, White and Gold - Miriam Hyde
Elective2: Woodland Sketch - Miriam Hyde

Now what I am concerned about is my mandatory piece. Its not australian, its new zealand but my teacher said thats ok as long as its in the past 25 years. Now I'm hopin that it is but I cant find the date of composition anywhere!!! Anyone help me please ASAP?

Is Jessicas Theme music from the last 25 years? because I'll have to resort to that, I've got a tremedous amount of pieces like Chopin but hardly any contemporary ones!

Thanks

Re: Non-Australianness. I hope that's the case too cos my Core piece isn't Australian either! Although it's mentionned "Australian Focus" there's that clause in the syllabus thing that says developments worldwide shouldn't be overlooked or something (cheers ujuphleg :D), so that's the thing my teacher, tutor and I are all going on...

yep thats right. the first page of the syllabus states that the core is Music of the last 25 years (Australian Focus)

note that the aust. focus bit is in brackets -- ie. a kiwi piece is just fine.

still, with norton born in 1953 -- that makes him fifty exactly... to be last 25 years he would have had to composed latin prelude II before 79 and i'd put money on it.

doesn't the front of the book have a publishing date?
