Well I created a few DVDs (home videos) and if I rip them onto a computer, they're .VOB format and so how do I compress them into less than 1 GB for each DVD?

heres a tutorial.

(ps there is a newer version, but for some reason it didnt work on my computer, but 2.20 did. so yeh)
Once you have downloaded this and installed, make sure it is up to date, the latest update is 2.20.

Now that you have the latest version of AGK lets move on.

Before I tell you how to convert, be aware that this slows your computer down and a lot of us only convert while we are away for a couple hours or sleeping. I have 512mb of ram right now so I do my coverting while away. If your somebody with 1gb+ of ram this may not apply to you. Since it runs a lot of resources if you use your computer it may cause your avi to have audio off setting and scenes that skip. So always make sure you check your avis when done converting to make sure they have no off set or skipping.

Now on to the converting, open up AGK, it will look something like this...if it doesn't you have the wrong program.

Next select the little folder next to input file.

Now go to the folder where Decrypter ripped the DVD files to and select the ifo file. It will load up and then underneath you will see it say the length of the movie, the audio fields will be filled, leave the audio filled how it is unless you know exactly what your doing. Now underneath the input file theres the output file field, click the folder and just click save, it will save the avi in the same folder as the ifo and vob files are.

Now it's time to set the target size...

Once you have completed filling out all the fields its time to add the job...at the bottom right theres the add job button...click it and your job will be placed in the que section. When you are ready hit start and your conversion will begin.

The converting process is a long process. Depening on the movie size it can take anywheres from 3 hours to 7 hours. Thats why most of us do it while we are away.
