Google will hire you without a degree and average graduate from any course/uni is not Google material.

Tbh I doubt UNSW vs USYD will make any difference at all for the kind of people google will want to hire.

With that being said, good grounding in CS theory would help a lot. But I don't think that's a concern at cs or se at unsw or usyd.

That's more of a concern for business-y IT/IS courses or unis which don't cover much CS theory.

Just a question then. Why is it 81 at usyd and 91 at UNSW is it cos of how hard it is to get into that course at that unj
USyd's Bachelor of Information Technology with major in CS is their more intensive version of UNSW's BSc(CS. It has a cutoff of 97.8. The cutoff isn't a good indicator of the difficulty of the course, it's a function of the number of students accepted for that course and the demand for the course.

OMG, so many trolls here

Usyd has more than just a Computer Science Degree
It has the Information Technology degree (95+ atar),
This is why computer science is pretty low, everyone wants the IT Degree
Theres also software but i dont know much about it

In terms of USYD and UNSW,
They're both practically the same. you learn the same shit
